Without The Bad We'd Know No Good
As a Reiki Master Energy Healer, I often feel guided to send reiki distance healing to certain people, places, situations and even abstract thoughts and ideas. I've been taught that there's really no limit on what reiki can be used for. So on one profound day I had an epiphany. I decided that I would send reiki energy to help remove all evil, negative, lower vibrational, demonic, multi-dimensional beings, entities, energies and spirits from this world. I felt like I was going to do such a great service for humanity.
If my reiki just so happened to be strong enough, I would rid the world of all evils and negativity... Only peace, happiness, positivity, love and light would exist endlessly for all. I suppose I would create heaven on earth. I was going to do my most important work yet. I was going to make an immense positive difference on this planet. I was just about to begin sending reiki to this amazing thought when something stopped me and whispered in my mind a most shocking and truthful revelation... “This world would cease to exist without the negative side.” And just when I thought I was really on to something reality kicked in. We live in a world of duality. There is a delicate balance between light and dark, good and bad, right and wrong, etc. And it's definitely not my decision to change the laws of nature for our reality. It's not my decision, and probably not even in my power to do so. If anything, sending reiki to this thought could have been detrimental to my own reality. But that's a whole other topic.
My point is, we all complain about the evils that exist in this world. We complain about bad things happening to us, bad people in our lives, bad situations... It's such a terrible disastrous world full of immense evil and struggle and strife... Horror, cruelty, injustice, pain and suffering.... Even in the animal kingdom survival is brutal! But you know what? We should be grateful. This is our reality. We get to experience humanity, all of it... the good, the bad and even the ugly. It's a short visit. We need to make the most of it. There's lessons to learn. I believe one of the lessons is to learn to accept and appreciate the negative side. It's here for a reason. Otherwise it wouldn't exist... and neither would we! (at least not in this dimension) I'll now leave you with my poem “The Negative Side” from “A Lover in the Land of Hell”: I ain't afraid of the negative side
been there before, got nothing to hide filling our precious world with despise
hatred and lies is the negative side
The negative side goes by many names
the devil, beelzebub and Satan always playing mind games
makes you believe everyone else is to blame
The negative side will have you worry
be in a rush and always hurry sudden fury, vision blurry
like a mouse you must scurry
The negative side will make you fear
starting over, new career Losing what you hold so dear
keep your mind from being clear
The negative side will make you believe
that you are better than every race and creed get you to do horrific deeds
in the name of god, make humans bleed
The negative side will tempt you with bad food
harmful drugs, wine and booze In the end it's what you choose
win or lose, you make the rules
I ain't afraid of the negative side
it's within all of us, that's where it lies The negative side makes all go awry
yet still remains loved in God's eyes
Negative side I ain't mad at you
making the human race act the fool But negative side you're so misunderstood
what everyone fails to realize is without the bad we'd know no good
