We all struggle with finding motivation from time to time… Some of us more than others! If you suffer from a mood disorder, it can make matters even more complicated. Do you ever get to that point where you feel so unmotivated, and even worse, no matter how hard you try you cannot find the motivation to even attempt to motivate yourself? You are wondering why and how you can get yourself back on track? But the motivation to even contemplate this issue is not there. You know what I mean? You're in a complete slump. Perhaps even depressed? Or just exhausted from life. You got to motivate to motivate. And when you lose that momentum... that motivation just goes right down the drain! It's not a pleasant feeling, especially for someone that enjoys being productive like myself. But that productive motivating energy is just not always there. I suppose there is a season for motivation and a season for lack of motivation, right? But is it really so wrong to lose motivation? Is this really abnormal? I don't think so. I believe we all experience this in life at one time or another. I mean, seriously, how long can one really stay motivated? We all get tired right? Bored? Annoyed? Frazzled? Well my friend, I've lacked motivation many a time myself! So I completely understand this dilemma.
It's a cycle you know. We all have our ups and our downs. I admit, sometimes I struggle with the motivation to write these articles. I give myself a deadline. My articles must be posted every Wednesday. However, I am not always in the mood to write. Some of my articles have felt forced. I sure hope they don't read that way! Lol And for the longest time I knew I wanted to start a blog, but somehow the motivation was just not there to conquer what seemed to be such a great task. I had too many other things to do...until ofcourse, the motivation finally arrived. But seriously, it's not fun to try to get things done when you're not in the mood and especially when you lack motivation.
And sometimes, you know, you've tried so hard to make something happen in life, for so long, that you get tired of trying to make it happen. You start to wonder...is this really even supposed to happen? Knowing that you have so much talent, wasted talent it seems, with no strength left to utilize this talent. You are spent. Time to throw in the towel and give up on life. Whatever you are trying to do probably won't happen right? This is what you start to believe in that moment where motivation has taken a dive to zero. You just don't want to to do it anymore. None of it...this life. You get so exhausted. Can't push anymore for that dream. It's just too much effort! And what makes things even worse is that we live in a society where we are expected to be motivated at all times. And this is just not realistic! That's what we've got coffee, energy drinks and Happy Hour for! But taking substances to stay motivated is really not the right approach. We should not look outside ourselves for answers. We shouldn't even be depending on others to keep us motivated. This is something personal within ourselves.
Then all of a sudden one day something magical happens. You wake up and you feel motivated again! And it's like, wow, where did that come from? Thank goodness! I'm back! So here's my take on all of this... Yes, we all have our cycles. High energy times and low energy times. Times of motivation and times of lack of motivation. But oftentimes during these low energy lack of motivation times things still need to get done, right? We just can't lie around all day feeling unmotivated...well, actually... we can. We just don't want that to develop into a habit and continue day after day. So my feeling is that the best way to deal with lack of motivation is first to accept it. Yes, your motivation is gone. Perhaps it's time to rest for a moment and give your mind a break. I try not to force myself to get motivated during these lack of motivation times because that just adds extra pressure and stress. There is nothing wrong with taking a break. In fact, I think it's an excellent idea. Take a break. Take a nap. Go to a spa. Take care of yourself. Then, if the motivation you lack still doesn't come back, there is a remedy I have found. The remedy is... Hypnosis!
Yes, I do believe hypnosis may be the cure for lack of motivation. But you don't have to pay to go to an expensive hypnotherapist. I've never actually gone to one myself. All you have to do is literally listen to a hypnotherapy audio for motivation, generating money or any other issue you may be dealing with and wait. The motivation tends to re-surface. This is a great option for those times when you're not even motivated to be motivated. All you have to do is lie down and go to sleep listening to a hypnotherapy audio for motivation. When you wake up you will not be the same person! If your motivation doesn't come back after listening to your hypnotherapy audio, then continue listening every day until your motivation does return. Try it! The next time you are really down in the dumps and lacking motivation, listen to a hypnotherapy audio focused on motivating you. You will be quite surprised at the miraculous results!
A quick word of caution: These hypnosis audios can be very strong. If you suffer from a mood disorder like bi-polar disorder please be careful. Sometimes a motivational hypnosis may cause hypo-mania or mania. If this is the case, you may listen to a hypnosis to calm the mind. Balance is the key! Keep track of your results and do what works best for you!
